Resumo: |
The purpose of this study was to investigate the history of the Minerva Project, rescuing the Mathematics discipline. In order to do this, a bibliographic, documental research and interviews were done. A report about Brazilian and world radio broadcasting was done and, also, of Distance Education, highlighting the characters of priest Roberto Landell de Moura and Edgard Roquette Pinto. The study showed the importance of the Minerva Project, which was a supplementary course of Elementary and High School, by radio in the beginning of 1970 and showed its main characteristics and the Mathematics discipline which was a part of it. The questions that originated the research were: What is the importance of the historical recovery of a pioneer project by radio (Minerva Project) of national dimension? What are the limits and problems faced in the Mathematics course in the Minerva Project? In the analysis of the data group it was possible to rescue the experience of an educational radio in the Mathematics discipline and it was verified that its great challenge was to transpose a Mathematics class to the radio language; the editor had difficulties to create a script that the newscaster could understand and the complexity of this to give the intonation, in order for the text to be understood by the students |
