Resumo: |
This dissertation intends to delve into the issue of state secularity and the forms of carrying it out in the Supreme Court. Therefore, the evolution of Brazilian constitutions, the conceptual aspects of religious freedom and religious freedom aimed at the international scene will be addressed chronologically. With these brief considerations, the scope of the Brazilian federal constitutions regarding its evolution will go through a critical analysis regarding the focal issue of the work, that is, the state secularity and religious freedom. In order for state secularism to exist in Brazil in the confessional model adopted, the intervention of the Supreme Court (STF) is essential, intervening through its judgments as a way of guaranteeing and maintaining the effectiveness of the State's secularism.
