Resumo: This work investigates the use of skepticism as critical method in the work Notes from Underground, written by the russian author Fyodor Dostoyevsky. This route will be contextualizing the work and discussions of the time, showing how Dostoevsky has a religious perspective on the human that clashes with the materialist theories in the russian socio cultural environment in 1860. With the main interlocutor of these discussions, the thinker Nikolai Chernyshevsky, Dostoevsky nourishes intense years of discussion, culminating in the book studied in this dissertation. Then, we will present the skeptical pyrrhonean philosophy, as well as the skepticism of proximity to the literature. The link between Dostoevsky and skepticism is made from the work Critique and Prophecy written by Luiz Felipe Pondé in which the author points this feature through the concept of equipollence of voices. This concept is one of the ways to defend our hypothesis that you can check skepticism as a critical method in Notes from Underground
