Resumo: This research was made aiming to guide and understand the discursive exam of the underground man, character of the novel Notes from the underground by Dostoyévsky. It highlights parts of his speech, also is reviewed the superego category connecting to the subject character of the referred book, on a way to show the effects and injunctions of the supereu above the subject, connecting this effects with the constitutive speech of this character. The general objective is to analyze the discursive effects of the superego on the main character of Dostoyévsky´s book. The metodological plan designed to conduct the investigative process is the bibliographic model of research, wich articulates this understanding to some selected parts of the novel, examining if the character speech is beeing afected by another speech that precedes it – the superego´s speech. The results indicates that there are strong relation betewen the superego´s speech and the speech showed by the character, on the way that the first one lays down strongly affecting the second one. This relation is observed by the way the character reffers about his daily experiences and the social self-imposed removal, once its unbearable for him to stay with his equals.
