The present dissertation consists of the bibliographical review of the authors who study the theme of political parties and party recruitment in Brazil of the political parties of the City of Jacareí, located eighty kilometers from São Paulo. The municipality of Jacareí is important not only because it is located on the Rio-São Paulo axis, in the Paraíba Valley, but it is also one of the largest electoral colleges in the State of São Paulo. The object of study is not found so frequently in Brazilian literature, it was assumed that there were reasons for voters' adherence to political parties. The objective of the research was to understand the logic of party affiliation by checking the model in the Municipality of Jacareí. For that, the parties were analyzed by interviewing their leaders. What we want to identify, and whether there were standards in the choices of party decisions regarding the criteria used in the process of selection and recruitment of affiliates. With regard to the municipality of Jacareí, it is possible to perceive that the affiliations occur in great majority only near the municipal elections |
