Resumo: |
The present work deals with the implementation of the project called "Community Prosecutor's Office", developed by the Prosecutors of Justice of the III Court of the Jury of the District of the Capital of the State of São Paulo. In view of the high level of homicides in the region, and in the face of the discrediting of the population in relation to the public policies applied, the members of the Public Prosecutor's Office, after tabulating data based on the locations, days and times in which the crimes occurred, as well as in the profile of the victims, sought an alternative form of action inspired by the North American model of Community Prosecution, studied by American Prosecutors Research. Based on this model, it has maintained contact with organized civil society entities, as well as with other public agents for the establishment of preventive actions, based on the collection of objective data that involve such criminal modality. The model proved to be successful, being replicated not only in the other Attorneys' Offices of the State of São Paulo, but also in several States of the Federation |
