This research aims to increase the critical dimension in which youth-oriented media-education processes are based, helping to qualify initiatives aimed at developing critical trinking in relation to the media and thus serving as a foundation for the construction of citizenchip. I adopt a methodology based on the studies of Jacques Piette (1996), referenced in the critical thinking movement, to analyze the experiences of four organizations in the city of São Paulo that have as their objectives the critical dimension of media education. As a result, I develop an evaluative grid referenced in three critical thinking dimensions – cognitive skills, metacognitive skills and pedagogical practices. This grid allows to identify, in the evaluated initiatives, the challenges and open opportunities towards critical autonomy. |
