Resumo: The research was about an interdisciplinary intersection between the fields of communication, education and philosophy, based on the potential to use the Merlí series as a tool for critical promotion. Therefore, in times governed by the incessant flow of communication, it is necessary to look for alternatives to foster critical thinking and promote intellectual autonomy. Therefore, its genesis is the initiative to identify a playful way of encouraging critical thinking, as well as highlighting a potential paradigmatic teaching tool that will have synergy with the approaches and practices of Educommunication and Media Education. In order to reach such guiding problematizations, the research is divided into two great poles, one of epistemological and theoretical nature, based on a bibliographical research, to promote interdisciplinary discussions among different theories such as Educommunication, Media Education, Critical Thinking, Television and Serrial Narratives; in another pole, a field research, made possible through two procedures: interviews with academics of communication, education and philosophy for data collection and, as a measure for candidate recruitment, snowball sampling and netnography are adopted as methods. . After the collection, we emphasize that the corpus of analysis consists of fifteen teachers interviewed, of which three are from communication, nine from philosophy and three from pedagogy. Finally, we emphasize that the data analysis procedures was the Content Analysis (CA) proposed by Bardin. As a result, after due analysis of the interviews, wich promoted dialogues with the thoughts and theories presented in the theoretical foundation, we conclude that the Merlí series can, with a good pedagogical treatment, be a useful tool to popularize, present the practical uses. and dilute the dense philosophical tradition for viewers and thereby assist in fostering critical thinking.
