Resumo: This work proposes to present the dialogue between theology and literature from the method of correspondence by Antonio Carlos Magalhães, having as the central focus of the dialogue the theme of freedom. Dostoyevsky's literature in The Idiot and The Brothers Karamazovi works of reference - works on freedom having Christ as the main reference, therefore, Dostoyevsky's Christ is the Christ of freedom. This understanding of freedom in Dostoyevsky comes from an anthropo-theological consciousness. In the same direction, the Latin American theological thought of Juan Luis Segundo and José Comblin walks, which presents a human as free as God himself, who is responsible for the construction or creation of his world and not tied to determinism. In this dialogue, therefore, there is an attempt to bring together Russian literature from the 19th century and XIX, by Dostoevsky, with the Latin American theology of the 19th century. XX and XXI by Juan Luis Segundo and José Comblin. Freedom being worked from the fictional-literary universe of Dostoyevsky in correspondence with Latin American theology. Both pointing to a human being under construction, therefore not completed, who builds life from freedom uncreated freedom or vocation for freedom - which must be lived in love, even in the face of damned human issues.(AU)
