Resumo: The present study, from the theoretical presuppositions of Discourse Analysis in the pecheutian french line, aimed at the discursive study of the relations among politics, identity and social gender, proposes to investigate the circulation and the production of other senses made possible by the report entitled “Bela, recatada e do lar” – published by the magazine Veja (special edition nº 2474), on April 20th, 2016. We observe the circulation of media posts and the associated images, overlapping the question of politics and gender, whereas, from this report, concepts and questions about the female resurfaced and enabled reflections. In this confrontation, several interpretive gestures made possible the arising and the circulation of new senses, from the historical event on the Brazilian context: Dilma Rousseff‟s impeachment. This way, the woman‟s position and vision associate with the politics and gender questions propitiated for the media confront two women images: Marcela Temer and Dilma Rousseff, reactivating gender disputes. This study uses concepts such as event, memory, silence and imaginary formation. Concludes that excites, again, collective memory force: while Marcela‟s image indicates an ideal or idealized woman, a followed model, Dilma‟s image evidence the distancing of a certain pattern for a position that, until then, was exclusively male, indicating new ways of contradiction in social gender relations.
