SELF-EFFICACY, SELF-RATED HEALTH AND PREVALENCE OF PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, COGNITIVE AND BEHAVIORAL CHANGES IN TEACHERS

Summary: | The present study aimed to analyze the relationship between self-rated health and the prevalence of physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioral symptoms with levels of self-efficacy in Brazilian teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. A quantitative, exploratory, descriptive, transversal and inferential survey was carried out. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis, Student's t-test, Mann-Whitney test, Spearman correlation, simple and multiple linear regression analysis. 313 Brazilian teachers who were teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic participated in the study. The results showed that self-efficacy averages were statistically lower in teachers with a negative self-assessment of their own health compared to those who self-assessed themselves positively. Simple linear regression analysis pointed to self-rated health as an explanatory variable for self-efficacy (p <0.05). The most frequent emotional, cognitive, physical and behavioral changes were significantly and negatively associated with teachers' self-efficacy beliefs (p <0.05). In the multiple regression model developed, only anxiety significantly explained teachers' self-efficacy. It is concluded that variables such as self-rated health and emotional changes, such as anxiety, explain teachers' self-efficacy levels, and it is therefore essential to develop public policies that promote and develop self-efficacy beliefs, as well as the teacher's overall health. |

Se realizó una encuesta cuantitativa, exploratoria, descriptiva, transversal e inferencial. El análisis de los datos se realizó mediante análisis descriptivo, prueba t de Student, prueba de Mann-Whitney, correlación de Spearman, análisis de regresión lineal simple y múltiple. Participaron del estudio 313 profesores brasileños que impartían clases durante la pandemia de Covid-19. Los resultados mostraron que los promedios de autoeficacia fueron estadísticamente más bajos en los docentes con una autoevaluación negativa de su propia salud en comparación con aquellos que se autoevaluaban positivamente. El análisis de regresión lineal simple señaló la salud autocalificada como una variable explicativa de la autoeficacia (p <0,05). Los cambios emocionales, cognitivos, físicos y conductuales más frecuentes se asociaron significativa y negativamente con las creencias de autoeficacia de los docentes (p <0,05). En el modelo de regresión múltiple desarrollado, sólo la ansiedad explicaba significativamente la autoeficacia de los profesores. Se concluye que variables como la autoevaluación de la salud y los cambios emocionales, como la ansiedad, explican los niveles de autoeficacia de los docentes, por lo que es fundamental desarrollar políticas públicas que promuevan y desarrollen las creencias de autoeficacia, así como la autoeficacia del docente. salud en general.O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar a relação entre a autoavaliação da saúde e a prevalência dos sintomas físicos, cognitivos, emocionais e comportamentais com os níveis de autoeficácia em professores brasileiros durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Realizou-se uma pesquisa de levantamento, de cunho quantitativo, exploratório, descritivo, transversal e inferencial. A análise dos dados foi feita a partir de análise descritiva, Teste t de Student, Teste Mann-Whitney, Correlação de Spearman, Análise de regressão linear simples e múltipla. Participaram do estudo 313 professores brasileiros que estavam lecionando durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Os resultados mostraram que as médias de autoeficácia foram estatisticamente menores nos professores com uma autoavaliação negativa da própria saúde em relação aos que se autoavaliaram positivamente. A análise de regressão linear simples apontou a autoavaliação da saúde como uma variável explicativa da autoeficácia (p <0,05). As alterações emocionais, cognitivas, físicas e comportamentais mais frequentes estiveram significativa e negativamente associadas às crenças de autoeficácia dos professores (p <0,05). No modelo de regressão múltipla desenvolvido apenas a ansiedade explicou de forma significativa a autoeficácia dos professores.
