Resumo em Inglês: The history of human beings is linked to their social conviviality and the way in which the cultural inheritance is transmitted from generation to generation as a way of survival of a certain social group. In this sense, strengthening relationships established between individuals of different generations favors the propagation of cultural aspects that effectively support social relationships, taking the family as a social institution as a space for interaction that allows meaningful relationships between individuals of different generations. The aim of this study is to understand if access to technology can favor the interactions that are established between individuals of different generations in order to provide the transmission of cultural heritage. To this end, interviews were conducted with groups of grandfathers and grandchildren, which made it possible to analyze the interactions between individuals of different generations having as communication tools the computer and the cell phone. The interpretation of the data made it possible to understand that technology, increasingly fast, transforms the dynamics of society and extends the possibility of establishing communicative processes that lead relationships to increasingly complex levels of interaction and which can represent a way of expanding relationships that are established among individuals, favoring intergenerational relations.
