O intérprete de libras no contexto do ensino superior

Resumo em Inglês: In recent years there has been a significant increase in students who have some educational need for permanent and / or temporary in higher education. Among these students that work out students deaf users of sign language, and especially the role of sign language interpreters in the higher education context. Thus aims of this research was to analyze the Libras interpreters vision who work in higher education about their training, their roles and practices that educational level. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative and quantitative nature and was based on content analysis. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire composed of open and closed questions, answered by Libras interpreters working in Brazilian higher education, about his role in higher education and its role as interpreter. The focus of the research is descriptive and exploratory, since the selected instrument allowed us to understand how these professionals perceive their working conditions at university. Through this work it was revealed that these professionals are in the process of construction of the senses and meanings of its interpretative acts and that by doing so can play their role in this knowledge of the deaf academic. For this to happen more effectively, we need the interpreter to assume a responsive front posture teachers with acting and become partners and accomplices in learning educational journey.
