Resumo: The Military Firefighters Training policy in Pernambuco is in line with the policy of the National Secretariat of Public Security (SENASP), an agency linked to the Ministry of Justice and aimed at developing a policy of training in public safety with citizenship, focusing mainly on, the theme of promoting human rights. Based on this principle, a document called the National Curricular Matrix was prepared by SENASP in 2003 with the objective of establishing minimum standards for the training of public security agents. Already in 2005, this document was revised, incorporating to it the Pedagogical Guidelines for the training activities of professionals in the area of public safety and the National Curriculum for such activities. However, the practice lived in training schools shows different from the official curricular documents. Thus, the present research had as objective to analyze the tensions and possibilities of the prescribed curriculum-lived for the Training Course of Military Fire Officers (CFO / BM) of Pernambuco, based on the analysis of the theoretical bases that guided the construction of the curriculum, of the documentation, legislation and pedagogical proposals that underlie the training course, as well as to identify the pedagogical practices that characterize the curriculum lived in the CFO / BM through the representations of teachers and students about the curriculum of the CFO / BM. As methodological procedures we perform bibliographical and documentary research, semi-structured interviews with teachers and we will apply questionnaires with the students. Data analysis was developed from the perspective of content analysis (BARDIN, 1995), where we were able to group the data into two categories: distance from society and dissociation from theory to practice. On the other hand, it was evidenced that the great problem of the course revolves around three major interconnected axes: the lack of specific doctrine of formation in the Military Fire Brigade of Pernambuco, making it difficult to design the activities to be carried out by instructors and coordinators of the course in question; the social distancing in which the course occurs, which means that students are not able to experience meaningful experiences around the profession they are learning and, consequently, they are not able to be prepared to deal with the real situations that present themselves on the day to day. Day of work, especially in dealing with the population and their subordinates; and the lack of connection and contextualization of the contents learned during the course, a fact that generates misunderstanding and difficulty of perception in the students' learning.
