Resumo: |
The process of teaching and learning of abstract concepts constitutes a major obstacle for both the students and for educators. Seeking to analyze strategies that can positively contribute to this learning, this study aimed to analyze the contributions of the game while teaching methodological alternative instrument rich in signs and likely to interact with the cognitive structure of the subject. Expected to favor the construction of the concept of gene expression in a systemic perspective and the development of cognitive flexibility. The subjects of this study nine teachers, graduates and bachelors in Biological Sciences, of which seven (7) tickets and two (2) graduates of a program of post-graduate studies. Based on the Historic-Cultural Theory of Vygotsky (interactions and mediation) and Cognitive Flexibility Theory, proposed by Spiro and colleagues, our study involved the construction of a domino game (Mastering the Gene Expression), whose implementation has been divided into three steps in a sequence of activities. The results showed significance in the interaction between a playful proposal, based on social interactions as a mediator of inter-and intrapersonal construction, from the precepts of Cognitive Flexibility Theory, contributing to the formation of concepts of genetics in a systemic perspective. |
