Resumo: |
Tabebuia aurea (Silva Manso) Benth. & Hook.f. ex S. Mo., Known as Tabebuia aurea, is seen as regular-sized tree that can reach 20 feet tall when in good soil and moisture and is naturally occurring in the caatinga and cerrado, are found in the Northeast, especially in areas of vegetation riparian, alluvial soils, is of great importance to study the best methods of seedling production of species studied. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the effect different types of substrates and different types of containers as seedlings of that species. The experiment was conducted in a glasshouse of the Department of Agronomy, Federal Rural University of Pernambuco. The seeds of Tabebuia aurea, used in the experiment were collected in the municipality of Piranhas - AL. The development of seedlings of Tabebuia aurea was assessed by morphological and physiological parameters, testing 12 types of substrates with different combinations, the raw material to be used for the composition of the substrates were: coconut powder (CP) of bagacilho cane (B), compost (C), soil (S), cattle (EB) and horse manure (EE). We utilized two types of containers: a small tube with a volume capacity of 0.3 dm ³, and the rubber vessel with a volume capacity of 1.8 dm ³. The statistical design was completely randomized design with six replicates. Means were compared by Scott-Knott test at 5% level of probability. It can be concluded that among the substrates, which showed in its combination manure gave the seedlings a higher growth in all characteristics. At 90 days, the seedlings had ideal size to be deployed in the field. The plastic tube, associated with soil + manure + equine bagacilho, cane seedlings showed inferior to others. For the production of seedlings of Tabebuia aurea, is recommended to use large containers, in case the vessel rubberized with undertreated: soil + cattle manure and soil + manure + coconut fiber as substrate, so that we can obtain seedlings with better quality. |
