Resumo: |
The currente work argues about planned obsolescence theories and their main types and models, in view of the modes of action and persuasion inside of the consumer society. The studies on this topic are not new and can be found in Sheth’s (2008), Latouche’s (2012) and Packards’ (1965) works. However, theories and questions exposed in their works are not as thorough as detailed, leaving gaps and loopholes about the details of this market practice. The depth and the details of the concepts contained in this work allow to consolidate and to extend the previous categorizations for a better understanding of the issue and its impact on contemporary society. Therefore, there is a vast and detailed map that allows a better understanding of the phenomenon and its nature as marketing strategies. |
