Resumo: In the past, managers were resistant to awareness-raising initiatives that sought to alleviate the socio-environmental impacts of the rapid production process. Today, there are a series of laws and norms that seek to improve aspects related to the socio-environmental issue, as well as programs that seek to facilitate the implementation and dissemination of these spheres of organizational responsibility. Sustainable development has brought about changes in the way of acting, in the sense of adopting daily practices that show respect and concern for nature. The distance education, as an instrument of corporate education, can become an important tool to break this paradigm by disseminating programs that stimulate care with the environment. With regard to the sensitization and training of people, the public institutions, especially Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), are inserted because they have a fundamental role in the process of changing society regarding sustainability issues. In this line of thought, it becomes the main objective of this research is to analyze the knowledge and perception of the Infrastructure Managers of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) about the theme Public Environmental Management from the axes “Awareness and Training” and “Sustainable Constructions”, of the Environmental Agenda in Public Administration (A3P). Adapted to the profile of public servants, this training will seek to stimulate in them attitudes that benefit the three pillars of sustainable development: social, economic and environmental. This research intends to investigate which social and environmental attitudes have been applied in the Infrastructure Management of the Academic Centers of the Recife campus of the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco through management and operational actions related to the strategy for sustainability, "awareness and training of the servers" and "Sustainable Buildings", which are the axes of the Agenda Ambiental na Administração Pública (A3P). In a synthetic way, we present this work as a qualitative research, of an applied nature, with a descriptive objective through bibliographic procedures, documentaries with participatory research, thus constituting a case study. The methodology will contain an exploratory research, with application of questionnaires and direct observation. Based on studies, it is evident in the institution that environmental issues are treated as important, being formally fulfilled in the management of the strategy, but in an embryonic way.
