Resumo: This work presents the results of an investigation on some knowledge involved in the construction process of the strategy FlexQuest (FQ), on the theme Puberty / Adolescence by science teachers of the region of Senhor do Bonfim-Bahia. A FQ is a teaching strategy mediated by the internet, which was developed from the WebQuest (WQ) and Cognitive Flexibility Theory (CFT) teaching theory and knowledge representation. Based on the understanding that this strategy has been used successfully in the teaching of science and the characteristics thereof are in line with the characteristics demanded for teaching science in present, this investi-gation aimed to analyze the process of construction of the FQ by teachers identify-ing some science knowledge necessary to work with it. Qualitative research was performed from the observation of the construction of FQ, and the use of ques-tionnaires to the subjects investigated. The results corroborate the FQ for an eval-uation strategy relevant in the context of science education, and can be used at different levels and areas of education and promoting effective learning concepts. Moreover, teachers in building the strategy FQ need to a set of knowledge that must be acquired throughout his career. Therefore, it is emphatically the need for teacher training, initial and continuing, with a view to acquiring knowledge involv-ing the use of computers and the internet with fluency and knowledge of educa-tional content, which includes the FQ strategy and its assumptions. Following the ideas defended by Carvalho and Gil-Pérez (2011) have proposed some of lines that training involves some of the knowledge relevant in this context and to subsi-dize the work with the FQ strategy by teachers.
