This work aims to make use in the field of historiography in a discussion of the relationship between brand history and science articulation in time and the construction of memory spaces. Understand how memory is projected on a bound to a set of assets means relativize cultural landscape of memory while the elements inherent human selective action itself. By choosing this or that brand equity as well as our cultural identity are legitimizing countless historical conditions that may or may not have been conducted within a political and social logic. The conditions for building a history and memory of the heritage of the Old Village of Island at any given moment of the twentieth century, namely, between the 1980s and 2000, are the topic of discussion of this text. Tensions gestated around the building this asset scenario are the order of policies, intellectual networks of conceptual elaboration, construction of discourses of national power and primarily thought of as a heritage tourism activity over not prepared for it. The job search within this panorama bring historiographical discussions regarding the history of the island as well as primary documents and sources to various relevant cartography and geography, as well as our most valuable source current oral records, which are the bridge between the questions and other source. The discussion considered in this text also considers the order of time in which history and memories are gestated, which are carried out and mean to legitimize each other in a game of balance and sensibilities always under construction. |
