Resumo: |
Agriculture plays an important role in Brazil and in the world, being the 5th largest country in agricultural dimension, with 850 million hectares. Due to the peculiar characteristics of the agricultural sector, there are policies that encourage the farmer to produce and used as an essential tool for development and social justice. The present work aimed to evaluate the impact of rural microcredit on the income of the population of the Brazilian agricultural sector. For this, the Propensity Score Matching (PSM) technique was used, with criteria of the nearest neighbor, Kernel and IPW tests, applying the robustness test proposed by Oster (2015), with data obtained in PNAD 2014. From the analyzes These studies showed that microcredit had a positive effect on the labor income of agricultural producers. Therefore, considering the scarcity of studies with evaluation at national level and covering all existing microcredit lines, this study showed an increase in income after the inclusion of farmers in rural microcredit programs, since After all tests a significant increase in their incomes was observed. Noting that the income from the main job, income from agriculture was evaluated. |
