The present work is divided into three stages. In the first one, it addresses the macroeconomic issues that influenced the political paths adopted since the 1990s. Second, it demonstrates the economic measures adopted by the country in each and every historical period, going through the adoption of neoliberal dictates with privatizations, trade liberalization and Capital mobility, also addressing the crisis in the banking system and the measures adopted for the systemic stabilization of the banking sector, with relief programs such as PROER and PROES. Finally, it analyzes, in the dictates of the national labor union structure, the direct influence of the economic relations in the work of the Banking and Finance Union of São Paulo, Osasco and its Region in the protection of the working class of the banking sector, in constant struggle for the acquisition of new rights and maintenance of rights already owned by the category.
