Resumo: Beyond professional communications, social medias offer an environment conducive to contemporary interaction and sociability, becoming a considerable participant in the changing paradigms of social interactions and bringing into existence a virtual world where there are no more geographical boundaries. To become a participant in this new social context, the user constructs a virtual version of self, a self-representation, or simply called a profile. This study was to analyze the process of the construction of a profile on Facebook, trying to identify and approximate, in this process, elements the similarities with the construction of theatrical characters. This facebook self- representation is an expression of the "self" that the user wants to reveal to his peers in the context of a particular social group, not necessarily a faithful copy of his real- world "self". Starting from the point of view that of theater as one of the forms of imitation, through representation, of human social realities and that their characters also reflect the behavior of the person. Using Erving Goffman's thinking on social interactions as theatrical representations, analyzes were carried out on the construction of the profile of the singer Ludmilla on Facebook and observed the social interactions.
