Resumo: |
The acquisition of new gestures, movements and postures mark each stage of typical neurodevelopment. Each stage of development is influenced by environment, culture and genetics, but also motivated by psychobehavioral aspects. Upon reaching youth, admission to university is an important decision in a young person's life. This phase is subject to changes that can be behavioral, social and/or physical. Postural changes are influenced by biomechanical and/or psychobehavioral aspects. Objectives: The objectives were to investigate possible associations between postural patterns and personality and postural patterns and behavioral aspects in university students of both sexes, aged between 18 and 24 years. Method: 30 participants were selected, using the Snowball technique. The study was approved by the research ethics committee of Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie under number 3,889,608. Two (2) instruments were applied for data collection: a questionnaire for psychological personality types - QUATI - and another for Behavior Problems - ASR. In addition, a postural assessment was performed based on the Godelieve Denys-Struyf muscle and joint chain method (GDS) using the posture assessment software DIPA© Results: The association between the postural pattern of the muscle and joint chain PL, of the GDS method, and the extroverted personality, was statistically significant with a p-value 0,00 0.004. A tendency was found for this evaluated group to present the postural pattern of the PA muscle chain, with a frequency of 56.7%, for the behavioral axis, and AL for the relational axis, also with a frequency of 56.7%. As for behavior problems, 53.3% of the participants were in the clinical range for internalizing problems, and 36.7% for externalizing problems. Conclusion: The association between the postural pattern of the PL muscle chain and the extraversion personality characteristic is concluded, confirming the associations proposed in the postural and behavioral analysis of the G.D.S method for the PL chain. As well as a trend towards the postural pattern of the muscle and joint chains PA for the behavioral axis and AL for the relational axis. The context of the pandemic that occurred during data collection should be considered when interpreting the results presented, and it may have influenced, mainly, the indices found in behavior problems. |
