Resumo: |
The subjective well-being (SWB) is the personal judgment of how people are happy with their own lives, an essential condition for healthy aging. An old age in these conditions it is influenced by the affective and cognitive existences along the life can interfere positively in this development phase specially the late stage. In this perspective, aimed to evaluate the SWB in the long-lived elderly, considering the affective and cognitive aspects. The sample was compounded by 70 longlived elderly and age measure of age 83 years old (DP=), 78,6% of females (n=55) and 21,4 % of males ( n=15) was proceeding of the Rio Grande do Sul (RS). Participants of 80 years old and more, selected as a random way, they were distributed in two groups: group of institutionalized elderly (IE) and another group not institutionalized (NIE). The data collection it happened in the ILPIs and the living groups, the means application was held in a personal and attended way. In this data collection was used a sociodemographic questionnaire; the Pfister Test (TPC) and the following scales: Positive Affections and Negative Affections (PANAS), Abbreviated Geriatric Depression (GDS-15), and of Rosenberg Self-esteem (EAR). As statistical methods it was used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, the Student t test, Mann-Whitney test, the chi-square test, with significance level of 0,05. The results indicated that the IE presented worse functional conditions, in addition to: i) positive affection statistically lower ([M=31,57; DP=23,75]; [M=60,57; DP=28,15]; d=1,11); ii) lower scores of negative affection ([M= 31,43; DP= 26,88]; [M= 40,86; DP= 27,53]; lower self-esteem([M=39,29; DP= 17,82]; [M=50,71; DP= 27,12]; d = 0,50). In the GDS-15 results were similar in the two groups providing that in the GI (M= 8,11; DP= 1,58); and in the GNI (M= 7,40; DP= 1,41). In the TPC tints of colors used most often in the three pyramids, independent of context, were: red (Vm1), blue (Az2) and green (Vd2, Vd3), with the presence of arrangements on carpets. In both groups, it was observed emotional fragility; insufficient internal mechanisms of containment that may lead to uncontrolled; good capacity of elaboration and relational abilities, and level of cognitive functioning less prepared. The findings contribute to the evaluation of intervention strategies that facilitate development of public policy and interdisciplinary actions more efficient than foster the BES of the long-lived elderly in different contexts. |
