Resumo: |
The Dissertation is part of the Social Relations and Dimensions of Power Research Line and aims to critically analyze socio-environmental relations in a hyper-consumerist and patriarchal society. It aims to respond to the following problem: in the society of hyperconsumerism and Patriarchalism, is there room for ruptures and construction of new social relations through Ecofeminism for Sustainability? To answer the question, the operational logic of the analytical method was used, with a qualitative approach and bibliographic procedure. The work was structured into three Chapters: the first addresses the Power of the market in the construction of the hegemonic social model, through the analysis of the colonialist process imposed on Latin America, the consequence of which was/is the exclusion of social strata, hyperconsumerism and Patriarchalism. The second Chapter starts from the recognition that oppression affects women and men differently, when addressing the intersectionality of oppressions, observed through the lens of unbalanced access to sustainable human development and the need to recognize the right to equality in difference. Finally, the third chapter presents Ecofeminism as a paradigm for socio-ecological ruptures and constructions of respect for socio-biodiversity for Sustainability. Two hypotheses were considered for the development of the Dissertation. The first was confirmed at the end of the research carried out, as it demonstrated that it was possible to advance along alternative paths to hyperconsumerism and Patriarchalism, breaking with the logic of market power. The second, in turn, partially confirmed because a socio-environmental organization guided by Ecofeminism only demonstrates, if possible, with constructions of balanced equality relationships, in alliance between women and men and between them and the environment for Sustainability. The space for the construction of these new social relations requires the guarantee of access to human rights, as well as the transformation of the current democratic system with the observance of a praxis of liberation and ethics of care, where women are guaranteed access to spaces of power , to participate with peers in the institutional model. |
