Bilateral oophorectomy is the removal of both ovaries, which are responsible for half the production of testosterone in the body, this procedure several both physical and psychic complications for women who do it. In search for a better quality of life for this group, many researches are being conducted, there is still much controversy regarding the impact of testosterone replacement in triglycerides in high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and muscle in question. This developed a systematic review with metaanalysis on the effects of testosterone replacement in ovariectomized females bilaterally. The theoretical foundation showing the impact this hormone in women's health, has numerous questions about the long-term use of that, which research has not clearly show the safety and how this may or may not negatively impact the for diseases such as for example breast cancer |
