Resumo: This dissertation analyzes feminism and its connection with the educational sphere and presents some propositions that have emerged in the implementation of feminist education in schools. The objective is to clarify the role and importance of feminism in education in our time, presenting pedagogical initiatives that can contribute to the development of an education that promotes dignity, appreciation and respect for the female condition in schools, as well as in society. This is a reflective and critical bibliographical research on the issue of feminism in education, highlighting the formative role of schools. The structure initially presents a brief history of feminism and its growing connection with education and, subsequently, analyzes the issue of feminism in the current neoliberal context. The final chapter highlights the educational perspectives and proposals reported by educators such as Bell Hooks, Judith Butler, Simone de Beauvoir, Betty Friedan, Nancy Fraser, Raewyn Connel, Joan Scott, Audre Lorde, Paulo Freire, Guacira L. Louro, Chimamanda N. Adiche, Tomaz Tadeu da Silva and other researchers and educators. The main purpose is to develop feminist education with elementary school students. The conclusion highlights the importance and need to include feminist education in schools as a condition for overcoming discrimination resulting from a sexist and patriarchal culture.
