This dissertation intends to discuss Lourenço Mutarelli's works aiming to highlight the interestructural procedures operated by the author in the novels O cheiro do ralo (2010) and A arte de produzir efeito sem causa (2009) as well as in the graphic novel A caixa de areia ou eu era dois em meu quintal (2005). These Works shows a dialogue between the written arts and the visual arts as they explore different media and genre technique's confluence in the novel and graphic novel, as the cinema, the photography and the painting. This stance, according to this thesis perspective, reviews the author's analytical vision of form, not only as a sheath, but also as content, creating a reflection about the dialectic relationship that this corpus has with the social context of its production. Thus, this dissertation discusses the concepts of structure and interestructure as a theoretical basis for these works formal analysis. In addition, an analytical path of the novel's history as genre is done covering different approaches about its germinal delimitation. Therefore, this thesis seeks to point out Mutarelli's novel and graphic novels characteristics and possibilities while interestructuralized literary genres of contemporaneity.
