The development of capital in rural area has being through changes due to neoliberal policies, among other reasons. The agribusiness, the hidrobussines and mining – which follows after the large scale deforestation and mega-projects of infra-structure for the circulation of commodities – are consolidating as hegemonic, even in times of structural crisis of the capital. This process identifies a new phase of the process of deterritorialization of social classes in the rural area by the expropriation, exploitation and subsumption of non-capitalist ways of production. These changes re-mean as well the character of the class struggle in the countryside and bring new challenges for the social organizations which struggle and resist historically. The Via Campesina, international articulation of social movements in the countryside, at its trajectory of 20 years is fruit and also contain these challenges at the construction of territorial counter-hegemonic. The Via Campesina have built territories confronting capital development in the countryside and its consequences, through its political organization, its strategy, concrete actions and through its political education... |
