Resumo: | Citrus leprosis is one of the most severe diseases of brazilian citrus, resulting in serious losses on the production. The purpose was to determine the spatial and temporal distribution of leprosis in citrus orchards under mitecide sprays for controlling the mite vector Brevipalpus phoenicis (Geijskes, 1939). The trials were conduced from march 2013 to december 2014 in two citrus orchards, located in the municipality of Taquaral - SP, Brazil. The first orchard presented initially 594 citrus plants in na area of 17.374,5 m2. The second orchard presented initially 2,686 citrus plants in na area of 38.610 m2. Were carried out three evaluations of leprosis severity on each of the selected orchards for the experiments installation. In the first orchard the evaluations were conduced in march and september 2013 and january 2014, whislt in the second orchard occurred in july 2013, august and december 2014. Mitecides were sprayed using an airblast field sprayer in both the orchards after noticed the level of control according to the traditional mite sampling. In the two orchards there were mite collections for confirming the species and vegetal material infected with leprosis in order to determine the presence of virus. Only in the first orchard the number of collected mites was enough to ascertain the virus inside the vector by applying RT-PCR tests. The leprosis in the beginning of infections does not present normal distribution and presente aggregate pattern. The sprays of mitecides on the basis of traditional mite samplings were not enough to contain the leprosis dissemination in both assessed orchards. The mite samplings positive for CiLV-C were found predominantly closer to the leprosis focus, refering to a dependance between virulent mite and symptomatic plants. At the beginning of infections, leprosy-of-citrus presents aggregate pattern and applications of miticides spirodiclofen and fembutatina oxide for the control of B. phoenicis ... |
