Resumo: | The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of using phytogenic (essential oils and bioflavonoids) or mono and diglycerides, associated with organic acids in the diets of piglets from 21 to 63 days of age on performance, incidence of diarrhea, digesta passage rate, microbiological characteristics and morphophysiological of gastrointestinal tract (pH, concentration of short-chain fatty acids, mitosis and apoptosis rates of intestinal cells and the small intestine structure). It was used 160 piglets, which was distributed in a randomized block design, with five treatments and eight repetitions per treatment and the experimental unit composed of four animals. The diets were formulated to the following phases: I - from 21 to 35 days, II - 36 to 49 days and III - from 50 to 63 days of age. The treatments consisted of a Positive Control: diet with antimicrobials (40 mg/kg of colistin sulphate) in phase I; Negative Control: diet free of antimicrobial; AO+OE: Negative Control with the addition of organic acids and essential oils; AO+BioF: Negative Control with the addition of organic acids and bioflalanoids; Gli: Negative Control with the addition of mono and diglycerides butyric acid. From 21 to 63 days of age, the daily weight gain was greater (P<0.05) in animals fed with the Control Positive diet in comparison to those of the Negative Control. The best food conversions (P<0.05) were observed in piglets fed with the diets Positive Control, AO+OE and Gli in comparison to the Control Negative diet. The lowest (P<0.05) depths of the crypts were observed in piglets fed with diets AO+OE and Gli compared to those in the Positive Control diet. The count of Lactobacillus spp. was higher (P<0.05) in animals fed with the diets AO+OE in comparison to the Negative Control. It was concluded that the combination ... |
