Resumo: Quality of life is a term that is difficult to conceptualize, as each individual has a different conception than others, however, well-being is the same in all dimensions. It can be influenced by internal and external factors, such as work. When talking about his work, it is important to highlight that long working hours, an environment that is not ergonomically suitable, can affect both quality of life and the development of musculoskeletal diseases. A human being with muscle pain, not satisfied, ends up looking for alternatives to improve it, and therefore starts using medications, both analgesics and psychotropics. After facing the COVID-19 pandemic, these situations became more frequent, due to the fear, panic and chaos that prevailed. The objective of this work was to identify the quality of life and muscular symptoms of nurses working in primary health care in a regional health center. This is a descriptive, quantitative study, with the sample consisting of 66 nurses who work in Primary Health Care, data collected from May/2021 to March/2022. Three questionnaires were used, a sociodemographic one, WHOQOL-bref for quality of life and the Nordic Musculoskeletal Symptoms Questionnaire. Data were tabulated in Microsoft Excel software and statistics were performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences. As results, it was identified that the majority of participants were female (86.4%), 71.2% were married, the predominant race was white (94.4%), and the average age was 37 ,23 years. The majority (57.6%) reported using alcohol at least socially, and (93.9%) did not use tobacco. Regarding quality of life, it is clear that self-perception/general quality of life was the one with the highest score (65.34), and the physical domain was the one with the lowest average (55.74). Regarding muscle pain, the lumbar region was the most cited (75.8%) among participants, followed by neck pain (68.2%), which affects quality of life in the psychological domain with a significance level of 0.039. It is concluded from this study that muscle pain is present in the daily lives of nurses, and that they negatively affect their quality of life.
