Resumo: The present study determines the variables that influence the insertion of Umuarama-PR export enterprise in international trade from 2005 to 2015, as well as identifying those that make this insertion difficult. The research question that was intended to answer is whether the insertion of the Umuarama exporting enterprises in international trade between 2005 and 2015 had been influenced by which variables? As a main objective to identify, before the exporters, if the variables that influence the insertion of the Umuarama-PR export enterprises are internal or external to the Brazilian economy. The study is important because of the advantage they offer to exporting regions. It is also important to reduce exports in the city under study and to understand the influence of exports. For the survey of such variables, interviews were conducted with Umuarama exporting entrepreneurs who provided 24 variables that could influence exports. Of the 24 variables were indicated by the entrepreneurs of unanimous form 11 variables. A questionnaire was applied to establish the relationships between the 11 variables and another to assign the weight that each variable represents. After completing the questionnaire with the relation of the variables, the Matrix Method of Cross Impacts and Multiplication Applied to a Classification (MICMAC ©) was applied. MICMAC © established the relations of influence and dependence between the variables and classified them according to the degree of influence and dependence between them. The variables that most influence the difficulties to export faced by Umuarama enterprises were Difficulty of Access to Information, Cost Brazil and Export Tax, all internal to the country. The variables that have the highest level of dependence were Difficulty of Interchange between Brazil and the other Mercosur countries and Lack of Specific Policies for Exportation. The main difficulties that the Umuarama enterprises face for insertion in international trade are related to structural problems of the country itself, few external variables.
