This dissertation describes a methodology to improve the ecological efficiency in the construction of gas pipelines, by adopting indicators as a way to control the work. The several phases that make up the manufacturing of ducts, from receiving the materials to make the designer as it is constructed, requires continuous checks by the concessionaire s supervisors of the gas distribution, to ensure final product quality. From prospecting to the distribution, the gas goes through many processes and improvement, making it expensive. Minimizing costs of each phase of this chain of this energetic requires more control in its production as a whole, and the distribution utility has an important function in this matter. The distribution utility needs to improve the standards of construction and installation of duct, by creating ecoefficiency indicators as monitoring tools and contract management. The indicators obtained during the research indicated that they are propitious to increase control of the ecological efficiency of fabrication and installation, for their applications were analyzed in reviewing reading and in the case studies. Even being a preliminary analysis, it was realized that they can help reduce inputs, by exposing in a more systematic and objective way, the ecological efficiency of the energy use, water consumption, waste generation and nonconformity, during construction of the developments, and providing lower costs with the future maintenance. As the cost of gas is also influenced by spending of the construction and maintenance of ducts, having the indicators of ecological efficiency supporting the work control is a long term action that can contribute to the pricing of the product, to reduce materials use, and thus help the country become more sustainable. |
