Resumo: | The sexual orientation and gender identity issue has entered the international politics scene during the last decades and, similarly, it has done in the scientific context, through the Global Queer Studies. The International Relations have gradually been absorbing such productions in their academic sphere, constituting a field still in formation within the area. This paper aims to map the Global Queer Studies in the main journals of Political Science and International Relations in the last 25 years through a systematized bibliographical review methodology. From the articles found, we seek to enumerate and describe the characteristics of the studies related to their geographical place of publication, the theme presented, the theory behind the studies, as well as the epistemological conception of these productions. Finally, a regional Latin American lens is assumed with the aim of establishing how Queer Global Studies in International Relations behave in the region, as well as raising possibilities and limits for future productions on the subject from Latin America. |
