Resumo: | This research focuses on speeches about women working in the political sphere in the country, on social networking sites (SNS). Digital. Thus, its discursive question is: “How is the discourse about women construed in Brazilian politics in posts of journalistic profiles on Instagram?” In order for this issue to be adequately addressed, sought to analyze the linked posts, specifically, in three profiles present on SNS Instagram, namely: The Antagonist,Folha de S. Paulo, and the newspaper Carta Capital. In this regard, it applies the theoretical-methodological line of the French Discourse Analysis (DA) based on the studies of the philosopher Michel Foucault. In this way, this work seeks to investigate the ways in which the discourse about women (in) politics is revealed and is built on existing posts in journalistic vehicles of different political lines in Brazil, within the pre-election period of 2018. From the analysis of the corpus, consisting of 48 posts from the three journalistic profiles, three discursive regularities were observed: i) invisibility of women in politics, ii) women linked to men - the notion of family -, iii) body: face appearance, clothing, the gesture of the woman, and the work environment, lastly. In the analytical gesture, there is a recurrence of a paradigm aimed at the female sex operating in the political area; there is a low recurrence of posts that put them in focus as the central point of the articles published on Instagram, as well as the construction of a link of this woman with a male figure the moment she enters the political field. Furthermore, with regard to the historicity that constituted the images that make up the posts, it was found the return of practices that link them to beauty and family, for example. Women in politics, even in the highest positions, are not free from the stereotypes that subjugate and lower them to the detriment of men. This woman supported by a male figure becomes almost forgettable in the posts linked in the journalistic profiles that served us as an object of study. |
