The present study aims to investigate the pedagogical practices of a basic education teacher in the field of theater teaching. The main objective is to identify the greatest challenges occurring all along the theater classes - stemming from institutional policies and restrained practices in teaching the arts - then, consecutively, trace a way to attempt to overcome the challenges and find a pedagogic-artistic practice toward quality in theather teaching. Thus, this Project proposes using proceedings associated with ludic pedagogical methodologies; within games of improvising, to establish a theatrical language. In addition, this research intends to present a reflexive report about the group of ludic experiences lived by the students in the 5th grade of EMEF “Professor Iran Rodrigues” – a public elementary school located in the city of Pirassununga-SP, that will eventually culminate in three creative processes.
