Resumo: The objective of this work is to carry out a plastic analysis of Lina Bo Bardi's work. This is done based on the abstract notion of plane, an issue present in modern art and architecture. This analysis encompasses Lina Bo Bardi's productions in the field of graphic design, furniture design and architecture. Based on the issue of planarity, therefore, the methodology consists of analyzing the formal and visual structure of Lina's works and comparing this with contemporary productions in the field of graphic design, furniture design and architecture. To do this, it uses discussions on the issue of planarity and a broad bibliography regarding the productions in question. The investigation finds that Lina's graphic proposals blatantly explore the planar issue, in the same way that it links Lina Bo with modern graphic design and neoplastic aesthetics. In furniture design, the planar issue also appears prominently and configures compositions in which planar elements (both rigid and flexible) define several pieces created by the architect. In architecture, the plan appears as a complementary element. The investigation concludes, therefore, that the planar issue is one of the elements that contextualizes Lina Bardi's work in the scenario of modern production.
