Resumo: | A floristic survey of the Melastomataceae species of mountain ranges of the municipality of the Delfinópolis, southwestern region of the Minas Gerais State is presented. The species analized resulted from surveys of the flora of mountain ranges around Delfinópolis, carried out in seven expedictions of collection betwen April, 2002, to November, 2003, and two aditional expedictions carried out in November, 2005 and October, 2006. All specimens are deposited at Herbarium Uberlandense (HUFU) of the Uberlândia Federal University, Minas Gerais. In the mountain ranges, a total of 52 species distributed in 17 genera was recorded. The genera, with highest species number were Miconia with 17 species, Microlicia with seven species, Leandra and Tibouchina with five species each, Svitramia with four species and Cambessedesia with three species. The genera Acisanthera, Chaetostoma, Clidemia, Comolia, Lavoisiera, Lithobium, Macairea, Marcetia, Ossaea, Pterolepis and Trembleya presented a single species each. The Svitramia genus, is endemic from south and southwestern regions of the Minas Gerais State. Identification key, morphologic descritions, list of examined material and data on geographic distribuition of all specis are presented. The Melastomataceae flora of mountain ranges of the municipality of the Delfinópolis are more similar to the floras of the South and Southwestern regions of the Minas Gerais State and Cabral ranges, in Minas Gerais, besides other areas in Goiás State. The similarity values were lower with the areas located in Chapada Diamantina (Bahia) and Ibitipoca State Park (Minas Gerais). The proximity betwen the compared areas increased the similarity betwen them. |
