Resumo: | This dissertation presents a discussion on the possibilities of interaction between History and Literature. The desire here is not to establish the differences between the two disciplines, but to observe how the concepts of both coalesce in the construction of a text, from readings of authors that dialogue with these two areas. For the study of this relationship between History and Literature, we will investigate two works: Memories of prison, of Graciliano Ramos and Diary, of Getúlio Vargas. The paths taken during the research resulted in the development of three chapters, respectively so organized: \"Among diaries and memories\"; \"Getúlio Vargas, the man, the politician and his diary, the fiction in History\" and \"Graciliano Ramos, the man and his memories: a History in fiction\". Chapter I will serve to discuss the notion of self writing in diary form and memories. We will perform a discussion of the \"daily gender\" and \"memories\", Literature and History of Brazil in the 1930s, including the personal and political trajectory of Getúlio Vargas and Graciliano Ramos during this period, thus constituting the corpus, trying to understand the reality through comparisons between the two \"authors\". In chapter II, We ll narrow our look at the Diary, of Vargas, analyzing the presence of ―fiction‖ in History. In the writings of Getúlio Vargas, evaluate the possibility of conceiving the diary as a written yourself, by checking the existence of a frontier between the living and their registration by writing, regarding the selection and the version of events recorded there. In Chapter III, we ll turn our attention to Graciliano Ramos, trying to observe the reflection he makes about the restoration of memory, in the work Memories of prison, working the limit of truth in a text that is not related to factual methods, focusing here the presence of History in fiction. To do so, we will direct our gaze to recognized scholars who consider the issues under study. In relation to daily, will be considered as a reference the critical reflections of Leonor Arfuch, Maurice Blanchot and Philippe Lejeune. For the study of memory, Jeanne Marie Gagnebin, Paul Ricoeur and Ecléa Bosi. About the relationship between History and Literature, we ll discuss the considerations of Giorgio Agamben, Michel Foucault, Hyden White and Luiz Costa Lima, yet will be considered the important studies of Wander Melo Miranda, Angela de Castro Gomes, Sandra Pesavento among others. |
