Qualitative in nature, the research was based on an interrelationship between bibliographical and field research. The bibliographical research was based on the theoretical reference of worker health. The field research had the participation of twenty judicial social workers. The interviews were audio-videotaped, transcribed in their entirety and thematically analyzed. Four thematic categories emerged: be a social worker in the Court of Justice of the State of Minas Gerais, work conditions, work organization and health- disease process of judicial social workers. The study showed the impacts of transformations in the world of work also in the Court of Justice and among civil servants. The study evidenced the impact of transformations in the world of work also in the Court of Justice and among public servants. The results achieved demonstrated that judicial social workers understand the impact of the organization and working conditions on their health and life conditions. The high volume of processes, the pressure to meet goals and deadlines in precarious conditions, moral harassment and difficulties for the career progression are exhausting aspects of the work. The gratifying aspects of the work are linked to meeting the social demands and recognition of citizens. At the same time that the social workers recognize that the organization of the work process produces sickness, in some moments of the testimonies deny such relations. They show difficulties in establishing causal nexus, most of which are ignored by women workers, their medical licensing diagnosis due to mental disorder and behavior as a result of work. On the other hand, the workers evidenced that the worker's health of the Court of Justice of the State of Minas Gerais is limited to the expert function. In this sense, it is necessary that the category of judicial social workers be organized to propose effective actions for better conditions and work organization, assistance, prevention and health promotion of workers. |
