Resumo: | This Master's Thesis Contributes To The History Of The Brazil Republica A Biographical Study Of The Political Trajectory Of The Peasant Communist Nestor Vera (1915-1975). Vera Was A Prominent Leader And Militant Of The Communist Party Of Brazil (Pcb) Whose Post-Wwii Activism Focussed Mainly On The Brazilian Peasant Movement In The State Of São Paulo. It Analyzes The Dynamics Of Nestor Vera's Formation And Performance, Emphasizing The Dialectic Between Theory And Practice, Between Field Experience And Participation In Debates About The Role Of The Countryside In The Brazilian Revolutionary Process. The Research Begins With An Examination Of His Upbringing And Education As A Peasant In The Interior Of São Paulo, His Iniciation As A Young Militant In The Region Of Santo Anastácio, Where He Assumed The Leadership Of A Pcb Peasant League In 1946, Narrating The Story Of His Activism, Analysis And Advocacy Thereafter Until His Tragic Assassination By Brazil's Secret Police In Belo Horizonte In 1975.
