Resumo: The present research aims to analyze the economic and cultural factors influencing the family succession process of Arab enterprises in Fronteira da Paz (BR-UY). Methodologically, the research has a qualitative, exploratory-descriptive character, based on the inductive method of economics. The research techniques adopted were: literature review, documentary research, spontaneous and systematic observation, through the application of fuzzy tools and the collection of primary data, through the application of questionnaires. The writing is organized into three integrated scientific articles. The first sought to identify cross-border opportunities for trade of Arab origin in the Peace Frontier. The second article was dedicated to evaluating the condition of reproduction of Arab family businesses in the Peace Frontier. The third article was dedicated to analyzing the propensity for management of Arab enterprises is succeeded by family members in Fronteira da Paz (BR-UY). The results found indicate that the Peace Frontier has become a space of opportunities, especially for Arab immigrants. Thus, trade of Arab origin has made contributions to the regional development process, as it has generated mechanisms that propagate employment -444 formal jobs- and income in a context of significant socioeconomic vulnerabilities. It was identified that the conditions for the reproduction of family businesses of Arab origin in the Frontier of Peace are positive, as are the prospects for the succession of these businesses. Regarding the assessment of the propensity index for the management of enterprises to be succeeded by family members (IPGESF), the results found indicate that the propensity for succession is average, whose IPGESF was 5.39. Furthermore, it was possible to identify that cultural and economic aspects exert a greater influence on the IPGESF.
