Resumo: The present study was to evaluate and compare the postural balance of children aged six to ten years old. The research is part of a larger project that aims to assess aspects neurotological and auditory processing in school. It was conducted in two schools in Santa Maria (RS) and the sample consisted of 282 children between the ages of six and entered the age of ten. The work was organized into seven chapters. The first chapter covers general introduction, the second deals with the broad literature review and updated, the third chapter outlines the materials and methods as tools, data collection and analysis. In the fourth and fifth chapters present the research papers from this work, the sixth chapter are conducted and the final comments on the seventh chapter presents all the references. From the surveys we found that postural balance in relation to girls, this was better than boys, but both groups had lower values than those considered normal for adults. The values of postural balance of children Erada more children were superior to the less Erada a trend indicating that with advancing age occurs a change in postural balance to achieve the equal values of adults. All values in the study group were below the FLP, indicating that the age of six to ten years the balance is still immature.
