Resumo: | By defining memory as the broad and complex set of all memories, experiences, personal, professional and intellectual training of the individual in the society in which he is inserted, as well as in the time and space where his trajectory triggers, we seek to understand the process of construction of the individual and society. The proposal for this master's thesis presents as its theme the existing collection at the Bárbara Maix Memorial, seeking to study, identify, analyze the possibilities and paths for the construction of actions that promote the Memorial as a space for teaching, research and preservation of history, memory and identity of the institution to which it is linked, source for researchers and cultural space for the community in general. Located at Rua Riachuelo, 508 in Porto Alegre, it has a rich collection constituting a multifaceted space. The relevance of the chosen theme is justified because the Bárbara Maix Memorial is a space full of historical sources, memory and identity, its valorization is of paramount importance due to the dynamic potential it presents and can contribute to the construction of new knowledge from the perspective of heritage education. The generating object allows us to reflect on issues related to temporality and the various social dimensions throughout the historical process. For this reason, for the development of this dissertation we opted for the qualitative method, as we seek to understand a set of meanings, reasons, desires, convictions, values and attitudes, which make up the organization of the space where sociocultural, political and interpersonal relationships formed manifestations that cannot be restricted to instrumentalization. Bibliographic sources were also analyzed from articles, books and also material available on the internet, which have as references authors who investigate the topic of education in museums, teaching history and heritage education, memory and heritage and cultural heritage. The importance of this theme is its uniqueness, as, to date, there are no initiatives aimed at using this collection, these sources being indispensable for elucidating the past in the most varied types of research and in different areas of knowledge. Therefore, using this space allows dialogue between various relevant aspects of local and regional history, inserted in the national and international context, as Bárbara's life and the activities she developed were not indifferent to the ongoing historical process, the various Events that make up its trajectory reflect the sociocultural, economic and political thinking of the time of its existence. |
