The present work intends to explore, from the bases of the Social Sciences, more specifically, of the sociological theory of Max Weber, the constitution of the religious rationality in the Baptist historical Protestantism. In a particular way, we are interested in understanding how the justification of the faithful for the misallocation of the goods of grace in the National Baptist Church of the city of Santa Maria / RS and its relationship with the types of theodicy made by Weber is constructed. In addition to general notes on the theoretical matrix, which starts from the Weberian referential, this dissertation also points to methodological issues, relevant to the process of formalization of scientific research.
