Urban agriculture is characterized by multiple productive faces related to the agricultural sector. Therefore comprehend planting and picking grains, horticultural, medicinal plants and fruits, as well as the breeding of small and large animals that serve both for household consumption, for sale to retail establishments or directly into homes using so called "door to door. " Through the understanding of agricultural practices is possible to lists other analytical categories, which are present and are part of the concept of urban agriculture, which means that it is necessary to discuss the concept of countryside, city, rural, urban and agriculture as a point of departure for the analysis of sociospatial practices. Based on this context, the objective of this work is to analyze the expression of rural characteristic elements in the urban space of Aracaju, but specifically in the area of expansion and neighborhoods of Bugio, Jardim Centenario and Santos Dumont, taking into consideration the practice of agriculture urban and the presence of some elements of rural life, demystifying the rural-urban dichotomy. This study is based on a wide literature search, from works that discuss theoretical and conceptual issues for the treatment of rural and urban phenomena; on-site observation, through field work for collecting primary data, photographic documentation, application questionnaires and secondary data collection of EMURB, INCRA, IBGE and SEPLAN. The analysis of the practice of agriculture in Aracaju is allowed to resume the rural-urban discussion from the perspective of the enterity, not of the dichotomous ruralurban, as well as enables the knowing that the activity developed in these areas the city has many dynamic and coexist with other forms of production space. Thus, urban agriculture practiced in the city of Aracaju, can be understood from the materiality of production space, with its multiple faces and meanings. |
