This paper presents a proposal for a local history approach in the History Teaching of basic education, eighth/ninth grade Middle School, in the Crisópolis Public School. Crisópolis is one of the 417 cities of the Bahia state, Brazil, and it is based on the historical origin of the Antônio Conselheiro's pilgrimages through the northeast backlands of the 1880s. At Dendê farm, which gave origin to the town of Crisópolis, Conselheiro erected the Church of Bom Jesus, the main material property of the town's culture.The research follows the following steps and procedures: discussions and perspectives on the approach to local history in the area of History teaching; document search and guidelines regarding the teaching of local history content; diagnostic of the teaching and/or indication of local history in curricula and/or teaching practice of History teachers in the town; A list of sources related to the history of Crisópolis, writing about historical aspects of this town; making a product to approach local history in schools in the town of Crisópolis. This investigation took into consideration the importance of the approach of local history and of daily life for the teaching-learning process as important dimensions for the formation of identities and belonging of the students.The idea is to give the opportunity to the students to perceive their relationship with the historical process, acting as historical subjects, as well as stimulate them to feel part of the history and place where they live. Understanding that each person brings individually a part of knowledge acquired in the course of his life, this way, from the student's previous knowledge, in particular, what they knows about their place it will be possible to the students understand better your regional, national and universal history, thus, they will be unable to get significant learning and contributing to the citizens formation. Therefore, based on the results diagnosed in this search, in the Crisópolis town, a didactic material focused on local history will be produced, a workbook with didactic sequences in digital and printed format to be used by teachers and students. Thus, for the composition of the workbook were searched not only a survey of bibliographic references but also oral expression memories written and iconographic. It provides didactic support for the History Teacher, as well as information and sources for teaching and learning based on historical aspects of Crisópolis town, and highlights three themes of local history: memory places; characters from my land; events and festivities. |
