Resumo: This research aims to analyze how themes related to the municipality of Lauro de Freitas can be taught based on Google's digital geolocation program, so that it is possible to collaborate in the identity construction and historical learning of students at Escola Municipal Miguel Arraes . Teaching practice at this public school revealed that apprentices do not identify with the aforementioned city, mainly because they are unaware of its past processes. Therefore, the work addresses the trajectory of Laurofreitense with a focus on its peripheral areas, aiming to adopt a decolonial perspective of teaching and, at the same time, promote the identification of apprentices with the place, given that the areas bordering this municipality have material heritage. and intangibles, facts and subjects linked to Afro-indigenous and popular matrices. It is also intended to demonstrate how local themes can serve as a historical laboratory, enabling teaching guided by Peter Lee's Historical Literacy thesis, which defends the insertion of historiographical methods in the teaching-learning process. With an interest in discussing the interface between local history and the technological field, such academic work indicates that the city be studied in the virtual environment, through Google Earth - a program full of satellite images from numerous parts of the Globe and 3D simulation technology in streets, which allows a glimpse of heritage, as well as the feeling of immersion in the spaces observed. The product of the research is an Ebook aimed at history teachers for use in Elementary School II classes, which contains pedagogical itineraries and virtual itineraries about the areas of Laurofreitense, executable on the GE platform. The material aims to facilitate the understanding of the Laurofreitense reality considering the intersection between didactic, decolonial and digital dimensions.
